The Monpas have a glorious heritage of arts and crafts. Their craftsmanship is manifested in various trades like weaving, bamboo works, wood works, paintings, paper making, incense making, pottery, etc. There is no separate class of artisans. Anybody having interest in any art or craft can learn it in association with expert. There is no gradation of activities based on a distinction between pure and polluting occupation.
